Quiet coastal scenery can be found throughout Nanjo, where Tamagusuku Terrace is located.
Mibaru Beach, the nearest beach, is around 5 minutes away by car. You can also easily reach other beaches in southern Okinawa, including Hyakuna Beach.
Take a morning walk or simply stop to look out at the water. You do not have to travel far to feel close to Okinawa’s sea.

Sefa Utaki — UNESCO World Heritage Site
Around 11 minutes by car from Tamagusuku Terrace, Sefa Utaki is regarded as the most sacred site of the Ryukyu Kingdom and was also visited by the king. It is one of the component sites of the UNESCO World Heritage property “Gusuku Sites and Related Properties of the Kingdom of Ryukyu.”
More than a place to visit, Sefa Utaki remains a sacred place of prayer today. It is somewhere to walk quietly and respectfully, with that in mind.

Kudaka Island — the “Island of the Gods”
Reached by boat from Azama Port in Nanjo, Kudaka Island is known as the “Island of the Gods” and has deep ties to Ryukyuan beliefs and traditions. The high-speed boat takes around 15 minutes, while the ferry takes around 25 minutes.
Once on the island, walking or cycling is a relaxed way to explore.
Move between the village and the coast and spend time at the island’s own pace. It offers a very different kind of day from one spent at the villa.

Okinawa World
Around 9 minutes by car from Tamagusuku Terrace, Okinawa World brings together several aspects of Okinawa’s natural and cultural heritage, including the Gyokusendo limestone cave.
It is an easy option for a family outing or for a day when you would like to adjust your plans to suit the weather.
