Cancellation Policy

The following cancellation and refund terms apply to reservations made through the Tamagusuku Terrace official website. When making a reservation, please review the accommodation charge, cleaning fee and cancellation terms displayed on the booking page before completing your booking.

Cancellation policy terms

1. Scope

This policy applies to reservations made through the Tamagusuku Terrace official website.

For reservations made through third-party booking sites, the cancellation policy displayed by the relevant booking site will apply.

2. Cancellation Fees

The following cancellation fees apply when a reservation is cancelled.

  • Up to 31 days before check-in: No cancellation fee
  • From 30 days through 8 days before check-in: 50% of the total reservation amount
  • From 7 days before check-in through the date of arrival: 100% of the total reservation amount
  • No-show without notice: 100% of the total reservation amount

Cancellation fees are calculated based on the total reservation amount, including the accommodation charge and cleaning fee.

3. Payment

For standard reservations, 100% of the total reservation amount will be automatically charged to the registered credit card 7 days before check-in.

For reservations made within 7 days of check-in, 100% of the total reservation amount will be charged after the reservation is confirmed.

If a reservation is cancelled between 30 and 8 days before check-in, a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the total reservation amount will apply. The cancellation fee will be charged to the registered credit card 7 days before the originally scheduled stay.

4. Refunds

If a reservation is cancelled within the period in which no cancellation fee applies, no cancellation fee will be charged.

If a payment has already been processed and a refund is due, the refund will generally be made to the credit card used for the original payment.

The time required for the refund to appear on your account varies depending on your card issuer or payment service provider.

5. Changes to Stay Dates

If you would like to change your stay dates, we will review your request subject to availability.

The price may change depending on the requested dates, number of guests, number of nights and other reservation details.

If a date change cannot be accommodated, or if the applicable cancellation deadline passes before the change is completed, the prescribed cancellation fee may apply.

6. Exceptions for Force Majeure and Major Transport Disruptions

If it becomes difficult to stay at the property due to unavoidable circumstances such as a typhoon, earthquake or other natural disaster, major suspension or cancellation of transportation services, government-imposed travel restrictions or other unavoidable circumstances, we will review the circumstances and respond on an individual basis separately from the standard cancellation policy.

7. Flight and Transport Cancellations

If, on the date of your stay, the airline or other transport operator officially cancels or suspends the flight or transportation service you planned to use, making travel to Okinawa Island difficult, we will ask you to provide information confirming the cancellation or suspension and will then consider measures such as waiving the cancellation fee or changing the stay dates.

As a general rule, the standard cancellation policy will apply if the cancellation is based only on a forecast of an approaching typhoon or bad weather, or if the flight or transportation service you planned to use is operating normally.

8. If the Property Is Unable to Accommodate the Stay

If Tamagusuku Terrace determines that it is not possible to accommodate guests safely due to a natural disaster, a serious equipment failure or other circumstances affecting the property, the applicable accommodation charge will be refunded in full.

9. Other Force Majeure Events

If government-imposed travel restrictions, a large-scale disaster or another event that could not ordinarily have been anticipated occurs, we will review the nature of the event and its effect on the reservation and determine on an individual basis whether measures such as waiving the cancellation fee, issuing a refund or changing the stay dates are appropriate.

10. How to Cancel

To cancel your reservation, please follow the cancellation procedure described in your reservation confirmation email or on the booking page.
